Subjects and year levels

Sessions follow your school's program. NSW is phasing in new Year 11 and 12 syllabuses, so I teach from the version your school is using and tailor each session to your child after the free diagnostic.

How a session is tailored

  1. Find the gaps

The free diagnostic shows what is solid and what needs work.

  2. Work from your program

I follow your school's topics and assessment dates, not a one-size course.

  3. Practise and review

Questions, feedback and notes. Term Plus adds marked practice papers and exam-prep sessions.

What a 2-hour session looks like

Every session is flexible and tailored to the student, including how they like to learn. This is the usual shape.

0:00 to 0:10

Check-in

How the week went, what is coming up at school, and the goal for today.

0:10 to 0:30

Homework and mistakes

We go through the homework, then the mistakes in it, before moving on to new content.

0:30 to 1:00

New content

I teach the target topic with worked examples, then the student has a go.

1:00 to 1:10

Short break

A reset before the practice block.

1:10 to 1:45

Practice

Exam-style questions with feedback as we go.

1:45 to 2:00

Wrap-up

Key points and the focus for next time. Term students get notes after the session.

If a test is close, the session shifts to targeted practice.
